Dani has a very rare genetic disorder call Hurler's Syndrome or MPS I. Its part of a group of storage disorders called Lysosomal Storage Disorders. We are going to be at the hospital at 5:45 tomorrow morning. I am still packing! I actually got quite a few things accomplished today. Gabe has his new glasses and Grandma Boni found peasant skirts for Missy Miss to wear over her cast. I had to leave my work laptop at work because they knew I would be checking emails and such and I DO need to focus on Dani during this time.
Here is Missy Miss enjoying her new DS1 that Grandma Boni and Grandma Dunn got for her.

ReplyDeleteAnd Dani was wearing that outfit (in the 2nd photo) to school today. AND .. had her DS with her ! We had her put it in her backpack, and so she wore her backpack around the classroom, lol !
Ms. Betsy and I and the other students wrote cards for her and gave her lots of hugs. And sent her off with our best wishes for a speedy recovery. We hope that she will be able to visit us a little while down the road.
She is a brave, sweet, and determined little girl. I can only imagine your feelings right now. But we're all praying and pulling for her, for the best outcome. Tell Dani, as we say in school, when someone is absent: "We're thinking GOOD THOUGHTS" about her !
